This used to happen to me all the time a couple of years
back, maybe Fedora 17/18 timeframe, but I never tied it to
keyboard inactivity, always thought it had something to do
with my wireless mouse.

It seems to have stop happening around that time, though I
do remember having to kill one session a few weeks back.
