I'm currently fixing up some lakes in New Zealand that have problems with the direction of the ways on islands within the lakes.
After I fix the problem I re-render and upload all the z12 tiles that were affected by the problem, depending on how many tiles the lake extends across. This process is working fine. My question is what would happen if I just fixed the problem island but did not render anything manually. I assume the tile containing the changed data would be queued for rendering as normal but am I correct in thinking that surrounding tiles that may have been messed up too will not automatically be re-rendered? The reason I ask is that I'm writing a brief guide for fixing these messed up lakes and will need to tell people to manually request any renders that won't happen automatically. Also, I'm aware that there is problem with lowzoom but am not sure of the specifics. Is the problem with the automatic handling of lowzoom requests and manual rendering is still possible somehow or is it that lowzoom is not currently possible at all? fyi One of the lakes I've been fixing is here <http://www.informationfreeway.org/?lat=-45.19140025633026&lon=167.74430877882895&zoom=10&layers=B000F000>, messed up at z10 but if you zoom into z12 should all be ok. rcr _______________________________________________ Tilesathome mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tilesathome
