The problem is that processing has gotten slower on the server side.
Unfortunately, this affects all tilesets equally. I have a conversation
next week with the hosting  provider (at SDSU) to figure ou what changed
2-3 weeks ago to cause this slowdown, and we're working on getting some
fast local drives to put tiles on instead of working only through an NFS
mount.

Unfortunately, I on't know of any way to improve this performance based
on my observations at this time.
