Do you know people that does not complain ? :-)
Every hour I remove tiles with a create time on my filesystem > 24h

Indeed but If the main server is down it's just worst.

I had a look at the munin graphs of the www server it's never over
20Mbits, not so heavy.

I don't want to say it's the right solution, if I proposed that it'
because I saw the tiles ar served by server's name a.tah..., b.tah...
even if it's a catch-all dns under tah.openstreetmap.org I supposed it
was the first step of distributed web server architecture.
