Hmm, looking at the tahngo map at zoom level 6, doesn't look like it is working quite like intended yet? Although I guess the low-zoom stitching it self works fine, it doesn't seem to be using the "correct" data. There seem to be two problems: 1) It is using the tile layer rather than the captionless layer for stitching and isn't superimposing the caption layer on top 2) There are a lot of unknown tiles on the map. It mostly looks like missing blankness lookups? Are both of these problems just temporary issues until the tile conversion has run to completeness? In that case, do you have a rough estimate of when the lowzoom map will look as nice again as the old one, that thanks to the great effort over the last few weeks has become quite pretty. Would it perhaps make sense to wait with the server side lowzoom a bit longer until all / more of the z12 data is available to the new server? Altogether, it seems like a good idea to move this serverside though to save some download/ upload bandwidth, so good work Kai _______________________________________________ Tilesathome mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tilesathome
