I think we had this before and people complained that Barcelona downtown
became unreadable due to all the pubs, etc.

Isn't this possible with the   horizontalProximity="0.8"
verticalProximity="0.6"
rules already now? Only disafvantage is that it will ambiguously
suppress *some* pubs.

Pubs on the other hand would be a nice candidate for a POI overlay layer
that can be switched on/off. We could afford some more clutter then.
