In my opinion the default widths for streams and especially drains are too
large:
http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=49.9552&lon=10.8792&zoom=14&layers=0B00FTF

The waterway=drains north of the village Kemmern are almost as large as the
river to the west, as are the streams south of Kemmern. In the tile to the east
(Gundelsheim) you can still see the old rendering, which looks way better than
the new one.

Moreover, the width=... tag seems to be ignored in zoom levels <= 14. I
understand this is done in order not to let too small features disappear, but
wouldn't it be better to use a minimum width (1 or 2 pixels) instead of
ignoring it completely?

If noone objects I will reduce the default widths and introduce a minimum width
for all zoom levels when I get to it.

Regards, Marc
