I also thought about this before. I think including a osm reference file 
that contains all critical features to check the setup would be better 
than to compare with live data.

Right now it is already broken. The styles include only dejavu as 
font-family. Depending on the machine the renderer is running a 
different font might be selected for the Asian characters.

We would need to specify more precisely which font to use.
If you look at the map you will already see different font styles.
Usually this does not harm much as most labels do not cross tile-borders.
It affects the overall look though.
