Hi, i investigated further and set MaxTileSetComplexity to 9000000. Now it has rendered fine for about 6 hours. If it renders a tileset with complexity above 10000000 then inkscape stops. the strange thing is, the machine used the last 5 hours only 2 of 4 cores and only the half of the 4gb ram.
some ideas? thanks, ben On Wed, Jan 12, 2011 at 12:46 AM, ben k <[email protected]> wrote: > hi, > > I've tried to reactivate my t...@h work ;) > > set up a machine (AMD Phenom 9950 Quad, 4GB Ram) with ubuntu 10.10 desktop. > t...@h is version 23290 (Vizag) > inkscape version is 0.48.0 r9654 (Oct 28 2010) > > it stops nearly on every rendering with this: > > 12.01.2011 - 00:13:34[#1 0% tile-z16] Rendering... > > I tried to investigate with ps uawwx > and found the following process with SN+ > > /usr/bin/inkscape -z -w 4096 -h 4096 > --export-area=0.000000:0.000000:878.906250:878.906250 > --export-png=/tmp/12_2161_1323_uSx2F/tile-z16-s0.png > /tmp/12_2161_1323_uSx2F/tile-z16.svg > > I tried to run this command manually in the terminal and inkscape > stops with this: > > Background RRGGBBAA: ffffff00 > Area 0:3,18187e-317:5,80243e-317:6,90248e-310 exported to 4096 x 4096 > pixels (inf dpi) > Bitmap saved as: /tmp/12_2161_1323_uSx2F/tile-z16-s0.png > > ** (inkscape:14990): CRITICAL **: bool sp_export_png_file(SPDocument*, > const gchar*, const Geom::Rect&, long unsigned int, long unsigned int, > double, double, long unsigned int, unsigned int (*)(float, void*), > void*, bool, GSList*): assertion `!area.hasZeroArea()' failed > > I checked the folder and there is no png despite inkscape says that. > > any suggestions? > > thanks, > ben >
