A few weeks ago we were discussing paralleling regulators .
The October 2007 bulletin from Linear announces a new part : the LT3080 low drop regulator. They claim: "The LT3080 is the first adjustable linear regulator that can be directly paralleled to spread the current load and thus spread dissipated heat." The architecture is based around a precision current source rather than the typical precision voltage reference. The output potential is set with a single resistor when in typical 3-terminal configuration and can be taken all the way down to zero. -ch _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
