On checking the Thunderbolt documentation there are no messages containing any SV identifier other than its PRN#. Thus it would appear likely that SV in the thunderbolt monitor program is actually the SVs PRN no. It would have been better if Trible actually labelled the SV identifier correctly. Their documentation is inconsistent on the meaning of this particular field. Motorola's is far clearer and consistent. Furuno and Motorola use PRN # to identify the SV and label it as such. It would appear that the only way to obtain the SVN is to actually look it up in the table provided by USNO.
