Nice plots Brooke, you can see the immediate loop compensation for the g-sensitivity. These EFC steps are similar to what crystal jumps would look like. The question is: does the probability of seeing jumps on an OCXO change with the rotation/orientation of the OCXO. I suspect it does have some effect. bye, Said In a message dated 10/23/2008 09:56:53 Pacific Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
All kinds of things effect the crystal including gravity. Some time ago I wrote a Labview program to look at the control voltage then rotated the PRS10 resting it on each of four faces, see: http://www.prc68.com/I/Images/FC_ROT.jpg So, just as gravity effects pendulum clocks, it's also effecting crystal oscillators, just on a smaller scale. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
