Gretchen Baxter asks, "What are the important features to look for in an time sync piece of hardware?"
Here's an 'off the top of my head' list: 1. Cost - If you can't afford it, nothing else matters. 2. Availability - If you can't get it in time for your project, don't bother. 3. Size and weight - Will it fit where you want to put it? And not collapse the floor? 4. Power - Do you have enough utility power, with the right voltage and frequency? 5. External hardware requirements - Can you get antennas, displays, other stuff? 6. Computer requirements - Do you have an adequate computer with the right connections? 7. Accuracy and precision - Do they meet project requirements? 8. Reliability and lifetime - Will it be available for the life of the project? 9. Human interface - If one is needed, is it adequate? 10. Resale value - A consideration if the project life is less than the equipment life. Hope that's useful.
