Was I the only one monitoring CHU? Things didn't go as I expected. It had been a few months since I had monitored 7335, so was surprised when in mid-afternoon a broadcaster (I think WHRI in Maine) was on frequency and totally obliterating CHU.
I was more surprised when CHU was audible on the new 7850 frequency a couple of hours before 0000. Shortly before midnight, the broadcaster was gone, but there was no sign of CHU on 7335. The signal was audible, but not great, on 7850. I recorded both frequencies, but I don't think there's much exciting there. Because of the broadcast interference, I'm not sure if CHU made the frequency change early, or whether they were simulcasting for a few hours (there are notes on their web page about hardware modernization, so it's possible they had a new transmitter/antenna and were able to operate in parallel).
