As I found, do be aware that the Synergy VIC-100 (58532A clone) does not like 3V. Does anyone know if the 58532A fairs better? However, my experience is that the Synergy Timing 3000 is better, even though it is also rated for 5V only.

I happen to have just bought a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx myself. It is nice that it spits out NMEA-0183, though the serial string is not timed well to the internal 1PPS - delayed and jittery. :-(

Thanks,

David

<help me find a gps that will work with a 5v antenna>

To follow up on my previous request for help, I ordered a Garmin
GPSmap60 which delivers an unloaded 3.2V to the MCX connector with fresh
batteries.

Tried it on a couple of Symetricom and Motorola site antennas on the end
of 100 feet of cable and it works just fine.

So thanks for all the pointers and help - job done!

Regards Paul
