Nigel, the 1992 with Hi Stab Oven option was bought in /very/ large numbers by the US military, hence the relative popularity of that one over the 1991, 1998 and later models over here. I have never even seen the one you refer to :^)
Even the 1992 duff button problem was solved by some kind soul who was selling bags of 100 replacements on eBay recently for a very good price, enough for three 1992s.
With all the counters I have here it is the 1992 that stays on the bench, the -hp- ones sit in the garage.
