About every GPSDO and GPS Timing receiver needs to do a self survey before you use it. It has to know where it is in the world.

I would give it a master reset and then initiate a self survey.

Software controls and shows status of these type of commands. I use to have a Jupiter receiver but I gave it away to my son. I know it has a control program that does it all.

CHeck http://www.ko4bb.com/cgi-bin/manuals.pl?dir=05%29_GPS_Timing/Rockwell_-_Jupiter for manuals and software.

I did not build the GPSDO, so I cannot tell you about its performance. Most GPSDO performance is dependent on the short term stability of the oscillator its disciplining.

Hello..... We built the " 10mhz simple GPSDO from boards supplied by G3RUH.
(Using the Jupiter GPS receiver)
Questions:
Has anyone built one, How well does it work How exactly is the RS232 output connected to a XP computer ?
Is the RS323 /software protocol the only way to tell if this thing is actually
working ?
We are using a trimble ( new) active antenna, mounted with a clear view of the sky. Does this Jpiter receiver need to be reset before use ? How do we tell if we are in a location that is in view of satellites ? Reply off list is just fine... The truth is, we are a bit frustrated with all of this gps business, and wonder if its worth any more time . Sorry for the long list of grumblings.
