There are several kits around using the Si570 serires of oscillators.
I built the FA-SY and it's very nice:

FA-SY includes a program to trum the frequency, and a simple oven to
heat the oscillator. It stays in some parts in 10^9, and is
spectrally very clean. I expected it to be much worse :-) - I may
