The current Lady Heather beta release has several antenna survey commands.
You can plot signal level vs azimuth (actually, not all that useful since high
elevation sats cross a lot of elevation angles and obsucre low elevation angle
data that tends to have a much greater effect on performance).
Signal level weighted by 1/elevation vs azimuth (highlights horizon level
signal obstructions).
Signal level vs elevation (good for choosing your antenna elevation mask angle)
And a nifty color plot of signal level vs az/el... probably the most
informative.
Also can plot the raw signal level vs az/el (much like the current satellite
position map).
The 'z' keyboard command can zoom any of these displays to full screen until
the next key press.
Also when the program exits a tbolt.sig file is written and can be read back in
at a later time or processed by external software. Each entry has
az/el/average signal level.
Also the '&a' oscillator autotune/performance optimizer function now uses the
signal level vs elevation data to chose a good elevation mask angle... it
choses the lowest elevation angle with a signal level > (0.875 * max signal
level).
For best use of any of these features, set your elevation mask angle to 0
degrees and collect data for at least 24 hours.
