Hi Dual / tripple frequency comes in two basic flavors "civilian" and "military". The civilian gear is aimed at the survey market and usually incorporates stuff like carrier phase. You can indeed get better time out of an expensive carrier phase receiver and it's associated antenna (also expensive). On a dollars spend per fraction of a ns gained - probably not worth the money.
