Thanks for your comments. I have had a quick look at NmeaTime because of your suggestion and it looks promising. It will require a further look later this evening when I can spend the time to do so. So far it looks like it will do just what I want and perhaps even what Stan, W1LE is looking for. That notwithstanding, any other comments or suggestions are also welcome.
