Allan Deviation is the square root of Allan Variance. I could generalize on that but it might just muddy the water.
Just be sure that you correctly label the values that you cite. You have no control over the careless use of those terms by others. It is, however, pretty easy to look at the numbers, themselves, and tell which is which, even if some boob names them incorrectly.
