Wow again, while digging for more info about the MiniBVA I came across this paper from Enrico Rubiola (and others)
http://www.femto-st.fr/~rubiola/pdf-articles/journal/2010rsi-Elisa.pdf showing how a cyocooled oscillator can achieve 10E-15 frequency stability at 10GHz from 1s to 1000s. In the Rubiola's website you can find the paper about the BVA (the dewar type) with the over schematic: a PI regulator made from one op-amp.
