The original photo linked to show 'corrosion' didn't have enough detail to show what was there plus the tungsten color cast made it impossible to tell what the correct colors were. I received my 5680A today and after checking it out as received (9.999,999.99675Mhz after 30 minutes), I removed it from the circuit board and took the bottom plate off to see what mine looked like inside. The bottom plate and the clear fiberglass sheet looked like there had been a resistor that fried and sooted up the area. What it appears to be is either a spray coating or residue from a wash to remove flux. The color is flat black and it is like a very thin uneven coat of spray paint but it isn't on everything in the area. The unit may be new or at least like new so it isn't from any part that fried and the unit works as intended. Bottom line is that it isn't corrosion and I'm sure it isn't anything to be concerned about. I have attached a photo of the same area that the original photo covered so you can compare the original photo to the one I just took and linked to.
