Thanks for that info, Poul-Henning. If I hadn't already bought several of the standard supplies, the wide-range ones sound like the perfect option. I didn't dig deeply enough when I ordered the systems (and didn't discover the problem until now because they seemed fine on my 13.8V supply; it just took the extra battery voltage to put them over the edge).

That depends on the model of PicoPSU.

Some of them are strictly 12V, they just connect the input to the
12V rail.   Others have car and truck compatible input ranges.

I belive they use the color of the ATC connector to indicate
the input range.
