ESD is not an issue for chips that don't touch the outside world. It is only a handling issue.

Latch-up, a potential issue with boards that get surges, has improved over the years with epi or dielectric isolation schemes. -----Original Message----- From: Joseph M Gwinn <gw...@raytheon.com> Sender: time-nuts-boun...@febo.com Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2012 19:39:14 To: <time-nuts@febo.com> Reply-To: Discussion of precise time and frequency measurement <time-nuts@febo.com> Subject: Re: [time-nuts] Best location for a GPS antenna...? _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
