Privacy protection laws are a sham. Another example of out of control Eurocrats.
The laws really offer only the illusion of protection. The servers for any web site can be in Korea or Gurnsey or a Caribean Island where there is no law at all. Furthermore, the only reason someone would ever get prosecuted is if some official decides to crucify you, following the model Romans of deterrance... 'killing a chicken to scare the monkeys'.
