Hi The noise level of most micro’s is pretty poor. I’d just go with any of the many IC multipliers. They all will get the job done without much effort. You can do an adequate job in this caee with an X-OR gate with an R/C to one input. (clock goes direct to one input, delayed version (via series R and shunt C) goes to the other input)).
