Thanks. That's the reminder I needed. My monitoring code avoids waiting for the prompt if it doesn't see one during startup. I know about one tricky case. If you send something like ":DIAG:GPS:UTC 1" or ":PTIMe:TCODe:FORMat F2", you have to wait a while for it to save that to flash or such. -- These are my opinions.
