All, I poked around inside the KS-24361 REF-1 today to see how easy it would be to replace/upgrade the Oncore GPS. I wasn't too successful, but I decided to write up my findings anyway. Perhaps the information will be useful to someone else as a starting point.
BLUF: It's not nearly as easy as hacking the REF-0 for standalone operation.
