Hi: Got one of the new in box NI GPIB-USB-HS (not GPIB-USB-HS+) units on eBay. More after it arrives from China.
SparkFun is out of their Inventor's kit, I'll get it when back in stock. It includes their Arduino Uno clone (probably better than a real one for less money) and the LINX (not Linux) language allows using the Arduino as an I/O device so LabVIEW can talk directly to anything connected to the Arduino. So all the shields and add-on hardware for Arduino now can be easily connected to LabVIEW.
There's also a LabVIEW to Arduino compiler, but that's for another day. PS for a number of years I was an official NI certified instrument driver specialist.
