Hi The only real function of the outer oven on the Z3801 is to improve the pereormcane when it fires up cold at -40C. As long as you are at a rational temperature, it really does nothing useful stability wise.
Of course if it pitches an alarm “outer oven dead” that can be a bit of an issue.
