A classic thing in this area, made of 1960s unobtainium: http://w140.com/tekwiki/wiki/284 I have one and it works nicely. However, probably not useful to try to reproduce the design, nor is it exactly low voltage (40 volts) supply to the pulse generator. Also, I wish it was externally triggerable.
