Hi, I won a FEI 1000A oscillator here on local ebay, but it turned out that the heater does not work anymore. It oscillated, but drew only 30 mA or so instead of ?600 mA in the heatup phase.
It was taken back, but the seller who inherited these things is a ham, too, and he would like to dissect and study it. Does anybody know of standard failures?
