I Goofed.
The 2848A late model info is on is on Dider's site as a HP 105B "Supplement".
The HP *Supplement* instructions are: butcher a perfectly good earlier model 
service manual add info here and delete info there, pencil in changes making 
the original manual a piece of garbage.
They were also too damn cheap to make any new schematics.  So you have to use 
the old schematics (from your butchered manual) and interpolate.
The unit is a gread idea and seems to run well.  I'd rather have this later 
version as one can easily swap out 10811 pin compatible oscillators for testing 
ad refining. 
For perspective, when introduce in 1979, the price of two and 1/2 units could 
buy you a modest 2 or 3 bedroom house.
Later I'll try and make a combined ski for the group.
