I take it the "T" is a time specific version, I see there is also a NEO M8T, I presume this include the position hold etc?

Seems like an interesting board with a NEO-M8T, a UF.L antenna connector. The little breakout board gives a direct USB interface as well as timing signals. With the USB it looks like it should work with the U-center software for evaluation and configuration which would probably make it easier to get going.

Does this seem like a reasonable board to get?

Thanks,

John S.

One thing to consider about using a module with a built-in ceramic patch
antenna is that usually the antenna cannot be removed and the modules have no
support for an external antenna. If you do have problems getting a signal it
can be very difficult to add an external antenna. You might want to try
moving one around the house and seeing how well it works. It usually takes an
indoor GPS a while to acquire lock to the GPS satellites.

If you want a time-nutty-ish GPS receiver, search Ebay for "Ublox LEA6T".
There are some units available from China that have one (plus a ceramic antenna) in them
for a decent price ($30). Normally an LEA-6T GPS receiver is over $100... But to get
the full benefit of a GPS timing receiver requires quite a bit of configuration and setup.

Another receiver worth looking into is one from the Ublox 8 series. They can
track and work with GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and other nav systems. Mine is
currently tracking 25 satellites (GPS/GLONASS/SBAS) with an indoor antenna. It
cost around $25 and came with a removable antenna. It has two programmable PPS
outputs (only one is brought out to the connector)... you can set one to 10
KHz.
