Pretty sure the GPIB-enets been unsupported for about 10 years. I have one and liked it. But when NI didn't move it forward with the operating systems it became a pain in the butt needing a windows 98 machine. This talk of using VMs is interesting indeed. I have used both KVM and VMware.
