[time-nuts] IF output buffer amplifier

Somewhat off-topic, some months ago someone posted info about a kit 
for a general purpose IF output buffer amplifier for receivers without 
such a facility.  Foolishly, I did not save it.  Was it on this list? 
Could someone please point me to the article or website?  Thanks for 
any help.
