Hi just a thought Video distribution amps for analogy video have been talked about Video is typically 7 mhz so they should work OK
The input signal is looped to each amplifier input and terminated on the last amplifier input with a resistor for video it is 75 ohm but for a reference signal it is 50 ohm The amp output is normally fed via a 75 ohm resister so this will have to be changed internally for a 50 ohm The phase change through the amps will have to be measured but if all amps are the same and only signals from the amps are used all phases differences between the different outputs should be very low and they might not even be easily measured Cct diagrams and descriptions are available in the older BATC CQ TV books Regards Paul -----Original Message----- From: time-nuts [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Attila Kinali Sent: 16 March 2019 20:27 To: Discussion of precise time and frequency measurement Subject: Re: [time-nuts] Distribution amplifier for 10MHz and 1 pps On Sat, 16 Mar 2019 18:01:36 +0000 (UTC) Taka Kamiya via time-nuts <[email protected]> wrote: > But how do I do this on 10MHz side? The first amplifier is there to compensate for the loss of the splitter. You might want to add additional attenuators between the splitter and the output amplifiers for increased isolation between channels. > Have anyone run into this kind of thing? Anders Wallin has a design that seems to work very well: http://www.anderswallin.net/2017/01/frequency-distribution-amplifier-2017-01 / (His blog is worth watching, he does some very nice electronics) Attila Kinali -- <JaberWorky> The bad part of Zurich is where the degenerates throw DARK chocolate at you. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe, go to http://lists.febo.com/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts_lists.febo.com and follow the instructions there. ----- No virus found in this message.
