I tried that, and got absolutely no where, because the noise-spectra
are not flat or even comparable.
That's exactly what I was thinking.. phase noise is straightforward.
ADEV is not.
Instead started to look at the time distribution of the zero-crossings
of the residual low-pass filtered phase error, and that has given me
much better results all in all.
