Hi Some of the folks doing this are running pretty massive antennas.
If you believe that the max signal from WWVB into your antenna is around 1 mV and accept the 5V p-p number, then you would need at least 74 db simply to have it not be equal to the transmit signal at max signal levels. You probably want it 20 db below that level to have a rational setup. That gets you to 94 db. If you see 20 to 40 db fades below “max” then you are into the 114 to 134 db range. This is not to say you can’t get the job done. Only that you would need to pay a bit of attention to the issue ….
