Hi If you go back into the dim mists of time (1990’s )…. The original Motorola GPS modules, that pretty much started all this “module based” stuff, came out in a form factor that is roughly that size and shape.
Folks still sell “software compatible” modules to drop in place of the original Motorola parts. The parts you have dug up will have very limited use on a board designed for a Motorola part unless the firmware is re-written.
