The news may be worse that you think.
I vaguely remember we had one of these
a long time ago at HP/Agilent. You pretty
much had to have the Dell workstation; the
software didn't run on just anything.
I know that the Agilent (now Keysight) PN system
came with its own computer and you got an
image of the hard drive on a DVD. Even if
you have this DVD, you can't use it on just
any random PC, it has to be the computer
it was made for (it installed Windows whatever).
To make it worse, IIRC, Aeroflex has been absorbed
in the merger and acquisition frenzy. I'm afraid
you have an orphan on your hands. I hope you didn't
pay much for it. Good luck.

I recently purchased an Aeroflex PN9000 system with the correct modules for

to get the software for this system. The only digital interface is GPIB.

I believe that from the factory the system came with a Dell workstation with a
GPIB card and an A2D card. I haven't seen any of these workstations or the
software for sale. I have other GPIB and A2D cards, but no software.

If I can't get the software, then reverse-engineering the system seems possible
theoretically but could be difficult, especially since there does not appear to
be a service manual or any kind of GPIB ICD for the system.

Advice?

Thanks- Jim
