Whichever way you go you should pick several servers (four  if you want
to protect against one failure, five if you want to protect against two
etc).   Personally (before I install my own S1 server) I picked two
public servers from the list on ntp.org and then filled in four more
from the pool.   This seemed to work reasonable well.
