Udo,
Mine came with the 5m cable without me asking, but it was /not/ a very
good price! The existing connector can be removed (without breaking the
guarantee), and there is nothing unusual in the currents or voltages
carried. Any reasonable, multi-way screened cable should do as an
extension cable. Use you own choice of multi-way connector.
