Yes your right and I think that is the bottom line, exactly how do you get co-operation from these business when the majority of them will see no benefit in changing there practises.

I think it would be interesting to see what response would be seen if a communication was sent to vendors from the NTP Pool Project or other NTP community project members. But again I think that costs both time and money.

Although it is a very simple problem to solve, you require attention
from someone that is not affected by the issue, and convince him to
spend time and money.
In a world where both software development and customer service
callcenters are often outsourced to overseas countries, it can be quite
tricky to get the right message across to the right people.

Maybe the vendors.html page could be rewritten a bit and sent as a
letter to major equipment manufacturers.
