When will it > actually poll again? I don't profess to be an expert on ntpd, but here's my $0.02. The `when' column is the time in seconds *since* ntpd received a message from that peer. This, along with delay|offset at 0 and jitter at 4000, indicates problems talking to your refclock. The `poll' column tells you that ntpd is continuing to query the refclock every 16 seconds. You can alter this behaviour with the `minpoll' and `maxpoll' server configuration options [0].
