Hi all, I joined the pool about a week ago and seem to be having some issues getting a reliable connection with the central server: http://www.pool.ntp.org/scores/81.6.234.172?log=1

I've checked everything obvious in my configuration and can't see what else to check. Other internet access is fine and my router doesn't report any errors on the line and has been connected continuously since I rebooted it five days ago.

tcpdump captures of the packets to x3.develooper.com look ok:

sven:~/ntp# tcpdump -n -tttt  '(port 123 and host 63.251.223.163)'
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
2006-08-28 16:13:17.662704 IP 63.251.223.163.59050 > 192.168.123.189.123: NTPv3 client, strat 0, poll 0, prec 0 2006-08-28 16:13:17.662759 IP 192.168.123.189.123 > 63.251.223.163.59050: NTPv3 server, strat 2, poll 0, prec -20

The ntpdc output for x3.developper.com looks sensible too:

sven:~/ntp# ntpdc -c monlist
remote address port local address count m ver code avgint lstint
===============================================================================
x3.develooper.com 58188 192.168.123.189 405 3 3 1d0 991 776

I'm running ntpd [EMAIL PROTECTED]:4.2.0a+stable-2-r on a Debian 2.6.8-2-386
box.

Any suggestions what I can do to improve the connection and do something useful for the pool? Anyone else having similar issues?

Thanks,
Laurence
