The owner of blackhole.arlott.org.uk may want to peruse the current thread "uk
pool problem" from 28th Aug 2006 in the NTP mailing list, also available on
comp.protocols.time.ntp, starting with message id
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
Apparently this server responds with severely wrong date/time values to ntpdate
queries.
Another issue that came out of the discussion is that there is no obvious way to
contact a specific pool server operator. Has anyone got any thoughts on this? I
wondered about recommending DNS TXT records to pool server operators, or maybe a
clear reference on www.pool.ntp.org to a page of contact details for any given
pool server IP address.
