Hello, I hope I can post this question here.
I have a Garmin GPS-18 LVC which has no clear view of the southern sky. I want to improve reception by putting my GPS on the flat roof. For this change I need to make the cabling 10 meters longer. Can I use CAT5 UTP? If so: Cat5 has 4 wire pairs. The GPS needs 5 conductors. So what would be the best setup for minimal interference and optimal performance? Can the wire pairs be of any use? Or doesn't it really matter? If UTP is not OK: what should I use? Kind regards, Udo _______________________________________________ timekeepers mailing list [email protected] https://fortytwo.ch/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/timekeepers
